In the “third angle projection” convention, the right-hand side view of the object is placed on the right of the front view, and the top view is placed above the front view. (p. 145)

Lines are drawn by first marking the end points, then several intermediate points, and finally connecting the points. (pp. 145-147)
3. How are technical sketches used in engineering?
Sketches are often used during the conceptual phase to help convey vague ideas, and support the brainstorming/ideation process. Sketches are also used in meetings to illustrate ideas and facilitate discussion. More formal drawings are used in other situations. (Page: 138, 144)
